Teeth In A Day

Thanks to modern advances in dental science, patients with missing teeth have a lot of choices available for replacements. Dental implants are the most effective choice, but here at integratedDENTAL we offer something truly special.

Teeth in a Day is a procedure wherein we craft and install your dental implants in one day. If you pick this option, you can skip the waiting period of three to six months that normally accompanies dental implant treatments.

What is Teeth in a Day?

With Teeth in a Day, we can place an entire arch of teeth on just four dental implants. This saves a lot of time and a lot more money than replacing every single tooth individually. During the procedure, we carefully insert the implants into your jawbone. They will support the dentures once they’re completed.

What is the Procedure for Teeth in a Day?

Our skill in placing the dental implants in the correct spots will determine the success of the procedure. To make sure we get it right, we use high-tech 3D imaging equipment that gives us a highly accurate map for placing the implants. Here’s what the procedure entails:

Diagnostic Imaging

We use cutting-edge diagnostic imaging technology for the Teeth in a Day procedure. We’ll first use a Cone Beam CT Scanner to make a 3D image of your mouth and jawbone, along with the adjacent muscles, blood vessels, and nerves.

Implant Placement Plan

Using the images taken from the Cone Beam scan, we will plan how we’ll place each implant in your jaw. Highly accurate diagnostic imaging allows us to ensure the implants are positioned in such a way so as to maximize the longevity and stability of the dental restorations.

Surgical Guide

Once we finalize the placement plan for the implants, we’ll make a surgical guide that we’ll use during the surgical procedure. Think of this guide as a template that will make sure we get the best possible results and minimize the risk of errors.

We’ll complete all three of these steps before the procedure begins. Once we do, we’ll schedule the appointment for you to get your Teeth in a Day. On that day, your specialist at integratedDental will embed the dental implants into the jawbone and put on a temporary restoration, which is usually a bridge or dental crown.

This temporary attachment will act as a natural set of teeth, but the jawbone will need to fully heal and fuse with the implants before we can attach the final restoration. This is a process called osseointegration, where the implant posts (usually made of titanium) will bond with the natural bone just like natural tooth roots. It takes several months, but once it’s done, we can permanently affix the final set of dentures to your jaw.

Recovery Period

Compared to traditional dental surgery, Teeth in a Day is considerably less invasive. Because of this, the recovery period is shorter and relatively mild. Some patients experience soreness for a few days after treatment, but you can treat this with over-the-counter pain medications. To prevent infection, we recommend antimicrobial mouthwash or prescribe antibiotics.
